Sheikh Hamdan Welcomes Sheikh Fahad, Discusses Strengthening UAE-Kuwait Relations

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, recently met with Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior. The leaders reviewed ways to further enhance the longstanding and cordial relations between the UAE and Kuwait, underscoring the deep brotherly and historical ties that unite the two nations and their peoples.

During their discussions, Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Fahad explored avenues to bolster cooperation across various sectors, with a shared commitment to advancing joint Arabian Gulf initiatives. Their conversation was guided by the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

Sheikh Fahad extended his heartfelt congratulations to Sheikh Hamdan on his recent appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, expressing his best wishes for continued success and prosperity for both Sheikh Hamdan and the UAE.

The meeting also addressed recent regional and global developments, the challenges facing the Gulf region, and other topics of mutual interest. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening joint Gulf efforts to promote regional security and stability. They highlighted the value of ongoing exchanges of ideas, experiences, and best practices to drive sustainable and comprehensive development both bilaterally and across the wider Gulf region.

The meeting was attended by several prominent officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohamed bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence; Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; Lieutenant General Talal Hamid Belhoul Al Falasi, Director-General of Dubai’s State Security Department; and Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
